The Radio Ireland opening party in the Jervis Centre was a lively affair.
Everybody from former Riverdance star Jean Butler to Fianna Fail leader Bertie Ahern queued up to munch on Harry Ramsden’s fish and chips.
Bertie made a beeline for Father Ted star Dermot Morgan as soon as he came into the room.
The two of them chatted away in a conspiratorial manner for quite some time.
Dressed all in black, Morgan was missing only his dog collar to transform him into Ted.
And Bertie, poor Bertie. He mercifully left the anorak at home.
But he must have been the only man in the centre wearing a pullover, apart from a few shop window dummies downstairs.
